AGL is undoubtedly set to gain some positive image from media involving its latest developments and transitions. As of May 2021, GREENPEACE published a report stating AGL is Australia’s number one climate polluter, and it’s not even close. 85% of their electricity comes from burning dirty coal, meaning they emit more than double the next biggest polluter. This campaign by GREENPEACE resulted in equity investors screening out AGL as an investment option because of its coal reliant industries.
